In this session, we explore how young children experience and engage with numbers. Participants study the four components of number core and how they are incorporated in a lesson. Participants explore a Module Overview and familiarize themselves with the lesson components.

Session Objectives:

Participants will

• explore the four components of number core,

• analyze the curriculum’s lesson structure in relationship to number core,

• know the features and significance of each lesson component, and

• identify language facilitation in math in a lesson component.
